FSPC + CONSULTA JOVE PROJECT 2019

As Antonio Centeno says, “normality is an uninhabited word because, who lives it?” With this project we want to escape from binary categories to challenge any logic imposed of normality and we want to reflect on the complexity of community art work and in the health field.

Can the creative space create a new meeting place between two realities, which allows the teenager to explain themselves differently? How do teens prepare their story? What tools can be found outside the clinic to be constructed as subjects? How are the voices and what experiences cross the bodies of these young people? What do they say? What are they silent?

From these and other questions we want to reflect on mental health and the body (physical, institutional, mental, social, urban, emotional, political, etc.). A challenge for education understood as an investigative and expanded practice. We aim to explore creative processes that go from group to individual, respecting other ways of doing and other ways of being together. To do this, this course we carry out a 6 month long work with the dramatist of consolidated path Roger Bernat. His work has been characterized as a participatory or immersive theater, creating shows in which the audience occupies the stage and becomes the protagonist.

FSPC + CONSULTA JOVE PROJECT 2018

“Dance as a tool for expression and creativity for teens with psychic problems “

Within the framework of the work of the TIAF (Children and Adolescent Child Table), within the group “Affectivity and healthy sexuality” different initiatives have arisen with the aim of improving the attention of young people. Since, in our area, two public facilities are agreed: Graner and Sant Pere  Claver Sanitary Foundation believe that, we can start lines of collaboration, contributing the expertise of each device, to implement solid projects, for the benefit of the neighborhood’s youth.

The goal is for boys and girls to connect with the world of living arts and artistic languages, with their contemporaneity. This means strengthening the capacity for expression, symbolization, self-awareness, emotional and corporal level; All factors of recognized importance at the same time to improve their capacities, resources, self-esteem and therefore their psychopathological status. We approach artistic creation as a healthy resource with a resilience factor, through direct and continuous contact with resident artists of Graner. (The distance that separates the two places is 5 minutes and 50% of the patients are neighbors in the neighborhood of La Marina).

1.- Artistic itineraries :Adolescents regularly come to the Graner to become familiar with and share the creative processes. A communication and dialogue is established with the artists, during the time of the essay that are relevant and which are specified between the two facilities. It is a question of seeing in direct what is the work of an artist, who at the same time also implies to know, a whole series of tasks that are around the artistic fact. It therefore means different ways of opening up the knowledge of teens, at the level of sensitivity and proposals for job training.

2.- Collective creation with a professional artist (2018): A group of boys and girls at the Hospital de dia and / or de Consulta Jove, accompanied by a mental health professional, and Interested in doing a performative action / artistic work of collective responsibility with a choreographer of the Graner they work regularly with the artist Bárbara Bañuelos.
