Reinaldo Ribeiro

Reinaldo Ribeiro is a transoceanic artist, conceptual bitch, and Afrofuturist lover. His work moves between the fields of choreography, performing arts, and cosmic perreo. He explores what he defines as the 4P concept: the relationship between the political, poetic, personal, and pathetic. He has a particular interest in an expanded scene and in practices and projects that activate decolonial thought and perspectives.

Chapter 1: ARDER ÉPICA (2025) proposes exploring themes such as memory, power relations, public institutions, family, patriarchy, and the control of historical/official narratives. Starting from the fire at the National Museum of Brazil, consumed by flames in 2018, and the artist’s personal experience, a fissure opens up, revealing a new perspective on stories. In both cases, the “official” narratives burn and fade away. In this context, the artist seeks to delve into the complexity of these experiences, focusing on loss and absence.
