Julia Zac

Julia Zac is a choreographer and dancer. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, she is a naturalized citizen of France, currently living in Spain. Her work stands out for its visual clarity, its architectural sensitivity of space, and its use of everyday technologies. Influenced by unconventional dance techniques, her practice translates into minimalist and geometric gestures. In her creations, Zac is interested in the diverse corporalities that arise through the use of everyday technological objects.Working in diverse environments, such as theaters or museums, her work draws people of different generations together within immersive and contemplative experiences. Zac has promoted participatory practices and exhibited her work, both locally and internationally.

Residency project

Devices for editable sequences  is a performance that brings together a set of short movement sequences. They follow one another and are repeated in a loop throughout the performance, at the same time are subject to variations and changes. This performance plays with the idea that the body is an editable material, making a nod to the video editing tools that have become more popular over the years and that new generations often use on social networks directly from their mobile phones
