Graner-Mercat de les Flors is participating in the 2018/19 edition of ENRESiDÈNCiA by facilitating a dialogue between Andrés Waksman and Constanza Brnčić and the IES Barri Besòs and Josep Comas i Solà.
Dancer and choreographer Constanza Brnčić holds a degree in Philosophy and a master’s degree in Contemporary Thought and Classical Tradition from the University of Barcelona (UB), where she is currently working on her doctoral thesis. She combines her artistic and research work in the field of live arts creation, with a special interest in the contextuality of practices, and on numerous projects and commissions – notable among which are the community project PI(È)CE (2011_2022) and the recently presented work Registres Evanescents – with teaching Composition, Improvisation and Movement Techniques at the Institut del Teatre’s Conservatori Superior de Dansa (CSD).
The Institut Comas i Solà (Trinitat Vella, Sant Andreu) was created in 1990 in response to pressure from residents keen to ensure that local youngsters did not have to travel to other neighbourhoods in order to pursue their secondary education. The centre is named after Josep Comas i Solà, an astronomer who popularised science and promoted modern astronomy in Catalonia and was also the director of the Fabra Observatory.
With the students Zaida Sánchez Barquero, Mansoor Asam Zaman, Marïam Aït, Waqar Mohammad, Jesffryes Lagos Hernández, Richard Ferreras Rodríguez, Laura Peralta Olivarez, Natalia Donaire Collado, Kimberly Nahomi Abreu Santiago, Carlos Mendoza Gómez, Gian Carlo Bayuelo Gil, Isma Noor, Carlos Nicolae, Yeirelis Morillo Fernández and the teachers Marian Rivero López i Ruth Pleguezuelo.
