Feña Celedón

I am Feña Celedón, known as Norma Mor or Muerte a la Norma. I am a multidisciplinary transvestite artist and a Chilean activist for sexual and gender dissidences. I dedicate my work to performance and art direction. I explore the limits of gender performativity through transformism and performance practices related to Drag, seeking to expand the politics of performativity and image. As a workshop facilitator, I propose pedagogical methodologies to decolonize gender through transformism, and I direct the critical entertainment program Kobra Kuir. I hold a degree in theatrical performance arts from Finis Terrae University and am a qualified actress, with a postgraduate degree in theater pedagogy and art from the Universidad de las Américas (Santiago de Chile).

Residency project

The project El Archivo Vivo de lo Efímero: La Práctica Artística del Transformismo (The Living Archive of the Ephemeral: The Artistic Practice of Transformism ) aims to recover and preserve the cultural contributions of transformists from the past who contributed to the construction of a historical cultural legacy in the performing arts and Drag Transformism. Through the re-creation of performances by these artists, using lipsync as the main tool, my intention is to generate a living performative archive that allows us to better study this practice by researching gestures, procedures, aesthetics, and songbooks that help us better understand our present. This archive will be transformed into a stage piece that updates and commemorates the performances of that time in a contemporary drag body.
