Graner has participated in different networking and relational contexts within Tanzmesse, the international dance fair that took place from August 28 to 31, 2024, in Düsseldorf, Germany. In addition to enjoying the fair’s programming and meeting some of the Graner’s resident artists this year (Inka Romaní and Poliana Lima) and other artists linked to the center (Paula Quintana and Guillem Jiménez), Graner has engaged in three key contexts:
On Friday, August 30, we participated in a working meeting with international professionals organized by Catalan Arts to present the Catalan dance ecosystem and the new international platform CataLANDance, led by dance journalist Clàudia Brufau. Graner was one of the Catalan representatives invited to Tanzmesse (see all the invitees in this promotional brochure).
We took part in a presentation of artists’ works organized by Dance from Spain, a cataloging project of the Federación Estatal de Compañías y Empresas de Danza and we attended a presentation and working meeting organized by Natacha Melo-Ibero-American Dance Platform (PID), with the participation of various representatives from Ibero-American creation and exhibition spaces.
Tanzmesse also provided a valuable context for collaborating on internationalization efforts alongside part of the Mercat de les Flors team, who were present at the fair. Additionally, it has been a pleasure to begin establishing connections with Zodiak – Centre for New Dance (Helsinki) through Katarina Lindholm (Head of International Development), with whom we aim to build a long-term dialogue in the coming years.
