Sonho e Tormenta is a performative installation about the interrelation between the world of dreams, our idea of reality, and how we inhabit it. We descend from peoples who have dreamed since the beginning of time. With our eyes closed, we enter this state of unconsciousness where reality expands. In different cultures, shamans specialized in techniques to cross this portal and see what most people cannot see. The transit and the inseparable totality among multiple layers of human existence. An experience capable of enhancing a community’s relationship with its emotions, memories, and desires. An immersive multisensory encounter as a tangible form of the subjectivity of dreams. A place to understand and express, especially, collective traumas. The psycho-emotional navigation of individuals inscribed in the historicity of the Eurocentric extractivist order.
“The delirium of the passion for discovering something that is not yet known, but is intuited.”

I pursue emotional atmospheres and shared experiences within the realms of contemporary dance, performance, post-dramatic theater, and installations. I explore Latin American expressivities as complex compositions that generate disruptive, asymmetrical, and non-homogeneous aesthetics. My primary tool is light dramaturgy stemming from conceptual research and sensory imagery. By creating a transversal layer between memory, symbolism, and experience, I aim to enrich narrative with a broad and polyphonic discursive universe.
