~matéria leve~

~matéria leve~ is a platform for research and training in stage lighting, coordinated by Leticia Skrycky with the support of Carolina Campos. It is a collective space for practice, reflection, and learning, where three fundamental pillars intersect: research, experimentation, and technique. At ~matéria leve~, we take risks with sensitive training of attention, promoting collaboration as a way of doing and being.

Based in Lisbon, Portugal, we aim to create international networks of peers. It is made up of cis women, trans people, and non-binary individuals.

In 2024, we created a training group in stage lighting for cis women, trans people, and non-binary individuals, based in Lisbon, Portugal. We traveled to GRANER to carry out our first research residency, where we worked in a light space activated collectively. The research revolves around the idea of a performative place, seen as a relational architecture that allows us to access a particular and multidimensional state of attention. We also want to connect with peers from the Barcelona context, with the aim of nurturing a network of affections, interests, and strengths, both present and future.
