At Graner, we participated in the academic coordination of the ‘Conexión Hemisferio: Encuentro para el Diálogo Creativo y Permanente entre Pares’ (Connection Hemisphere: Meeting for Creative and Ongoing Dialogue Between Peers), which began with an initial action from June 5 to 8, 2018, in Colombia. This meeting brought together Spanish and Colombian specialists to engage in dialogue on topics such as the adaptation of spaces for the arts, economic and financial management, resource mobilization, and other related subjects.
This initial contact was developed within the framework of the Spain-Colombia Focus 2018-2019, with the support of AC/E, and aimed to be a space for dialogue between 32 Spanish and Colombian cultural managers from the public and private sectors, with the goal of exchanging experiences, as well as promoting alliances and partnerships to foster greater professionalization of the live arts sector in both countries. The meeting’s records were presented as a key document for the knowledge and analysis of institutional structures, artists, entrepreneurs, and managers from both nations, offering reflections and proposals on the major challenges and opportunities for managing contemporary live arts.
