Espectadors en Residència was a study community that promoted spaces for research and learning through the artistic residency program of the Graner Centre for Creation and Live Arts (February-June 2020). It was a space where an active and reflective condition was shared with the artists, getting closer to their creative processes, generating learning and developing the contents of our experiences through collective research on the poetics of the spectator. Its two editions (February-June 2020 and March-June 2021) led to the creation of a web platform and the projects Escenes del confinament (Scenes of Lockdown) and La paradoxa de l’espectadora (The Paradox of the Female Spectator).
Espectadors en Residència was a collaboration between Graner and artefactum, a collective formed by Esther Blázquez and David Pérez that moves between live arts, education, and critical thinking. Their proposals explored the capacity of the arts to develop artifices, devices, and situations that question the present, opening areas for invention and processes of collective learning.
