BOCA #3 invites us to listen to the conversation between Andrea Soto Calderón and Søren Evinson, in residence at Graner during the winter of 2020.
Andrea Soto Calderón explores Søren Evinson’s research in his latest piece Just Desire and also delves into some of the themes, formalities, and aesthetics that run through previous works and the artist’s body of work. The conversation also includes authors, references, and concepts that raise questions regarding live arts, images, consumption, and desire, among other territories.
Andrea Soto Calderón, Ph.D. in philosophy, currently lives and works in Barcelona, where she is a professor of Aesthetics and Theory of Art. She has been a visiting professor at several universities (Paris, Lisbon, Barcelona, and Valparaíso). Principal investigator of the artistic research project “The Performativity of Images” at La Virreina Centre de la Imatge in Barcelona, her research work focuses on the transformations of aesthetic experience in contemporary culture, artistic research, the study of images and media, as well as the relationship between aesthetics and politics.
