BOCA #4 invites us to listen to the conversation between Alejandro Penagos and Sara Manubens, Graner resident artist in 2021.
Sara Manubens is a Graner resident through an open call in the Research Mode with her project Symphony of the Seas: “Symphony is a woman. She loves wearing wigs and fake nails. Symphony enjoys making Trans relationships between the plasticities of presence and the construction of her own image. An artistic project that aims to merge Drag practice with the new methodologies of Live Arts, from a choreographic and installative perspective.”
Alejandro Penagos holds a degree in Theatre and Live Arts from the University of Colombia and in Sociology from the University Santo Tomás. He is a researcher and performer, an interdisciplinary artist interested in fictional ethnographies, neighborhood taxonomies, and the capacity of a body to transform into an object or become space. He is a co-founder of the collectives House of Tupamaras and Street Jizz.
This episode of BOCA is supported by the Institut Ramon Llull, through its 2021 mentorship and international residency program.
