From April 4 to 6, 2025, we took part in the second PLATAFORMA gathering, a meeting space for various residency centres from Spain and Latin America.
PLATAFORMA is an initiative launched by the management teams of Nau Ivanow (Barcelona), Espai Inestable (Valencia), and Fundación La Parisina (Argentina), born from a shared diagnosis of the need to create spaces for reflection and exchange among residency centres across different territories. PLATAFORMA offers an annual meeting space aimed at fostering collective thinking, exchange, and the development of best practices around artistic residencies.
The second edition of PLATAFORMA was held at NAVE and Espacio Checoeslovaquia, two creation centres located in Santiago de Chile. Over the course of three days, the various representatives of the participating spaces shared management methodologies and opened up conversations, questions, and reflections around artistic support and residency models. Part of the gathering was dedicated to discussing the group’s roadmap, the need to articulate itself as an itinerant community, and the next steps toward deepening the issues at hand.
Documenting and recording each gathering is also one of the group’s key interests—honouring the memory of the first meeting while building new material that captures the outcomes of this second edition.
The second PLATAFORMA gathering included participation from: Nau Ivanow, Graner, Espacio Checoeslovaquia, T X A W Ü N, Teatro Puerto, Centro Nave, Festival Cielos del Infinito, Planta, Australia, Dínamo, La Parisina i Festival Brújula Sur.
