In Transit, a collective showcase of creative projects at Institut Montjuïc, held on June 5, 2019, as an end-of-year event:
Institut Montjuïc is a network of people of different ages who interact, coexist, and move. Nothing is static within the building: we move through hallways, classrooms, experiences… and also through a life stage — young people navigate their adolescence. We will travel from one place to another, from Espai Jove La Bàscula to our school. We’ll walk the streets, pass under balconies, cross traffic lights. We’ll feel. The journey will have meaning in itself, and we will embed it in the neighborhood. And from all that movement, a single action will remain: ephemeral, collective, and valuable — a cultural act that the youngest members of the school generously offer to their community.
A route from La Bàscula to Institut Montjuïc that included:
- Music: #LMMM (the result of a collaborative creation process with Bob Gonsales, students from the institute, and elderly residents from the neighborhood, in partnership with La Bàscula)
- Live arts: MANUAL FOR THINKING TOGETHER (the result of a creative process with Mariona Naudin and students from the institute, in collaboration with El Graner)
- Theater: YES, I’M A TEENAGER, SO WHAT? (the result of a creative project with Luna Ester and Rebeca Mesas Medel and students from the institute, in collaboration with Artixoc)
- Cinema: AN OCEAN APART (the result of a creation process with Celia Rico and students from the institute, in collaboration with Cinema en Curs)
