Starting from the fire at the National Museum of Brazil, consumed by flames in 2018, and the artist’s personal experience, a fissure opens up, revealing a new perspective on stories. In both cases, the “official” narratives burn and fade away. Chapter 1: ARDER ÉPICA proposes exploring themes such as memory, power relations, public institutions, family, patriarchy, and the control of historical/official narratives. In this context, the artist seeks to delve into the complexity of these experiences, focusing on loss and absence.
