Sandra Sotelo, artist-in-residence at Graner 2025, is attending the EDN Atelier meeting: “Advocating for Dance”

Sandra Sotelo, artist-in-residence at Graner 2025, is attending the EDN Atelier meeting: “Advocating for Dance,” hosted by the CND Centre national de la danse and the Maison de la danse in Lyon, France, and co-organised by EDN. This EDN Atelier is made possible by Embodied Transformations, EDN’s EU-funded network project. It connects contemporary dance professionals, organisations, and communities across Europe to foster a transformative and interdependent dance ecosystem.

EDN is a Spain-based organisation. The participation of Spanish artists and cultural professionals is made possible by INAEM, the National Institute of Performing Arts and Music of Spain.

Through parallel breakout sessions, participants will explore key challenges and opportunities in the dance and cultural sector. Topics include building resilience through cross-border and public-private collaborations, imagining new sustainable funding models, and understanding how collective artistic practices shape future cooperation. Additional discussions will focus on effective advocacy strategies, the political recognition of dance, and how movement-based practices can become powerful tools for social and political change.
