The publications I have chosen relate to two important decisions:
The four references I selected from the Graner catalog reflect the affinity and knowledge I have with the professionals and thinkers behind these works. What interests me about them is the dimension beyond dance that runs through these projects… from the theoretical, as in the case of José Antonio Sánchez, to the mediation and care work proposed by Arantza with her book, which stems from an experience in a village in Catalonia; the necessary project proposed by Beatriz and Alfredo with Artistas en Crianza; and the more practice-based theoretical approach developed by Lucas Condró. These four publications contribute from different and necessary perspectives for continuing to think about the body and the live arts.
As a contribution to the catalog, I have chosen the book by Germaine Acogny, essential for any dance-related collection seeking to broaden its perspective beyond Euro-Western canons.
