Mellina Boubetra

After studying Medical Biology, Mellina Boubetra decided to pursue her exploration of the body through dance and creation. With this background and a desire to analyze new areas of research that she founded ETRA in 2017, while continuing her work as a performer for other project leaders such as Andrew Skeels, Dyptik, Régine Chopinot, and more recently, Alvise Sinivia. She organizes her practice on letting her attention circulate, allowing personal forms to emerge, developing her responsiveness, appreciating details, and above all, having a lot of fun.

Latest project in residence

La pièce des toilettes (working title) is a piece that depicts six people in the basement of a party, trying to turn on an automatic bathroom light after the motion sensor malfunctions. The project is in an early stage, focused on developing the choreographic language that will be explored. It includes the collaboration of Victor Kastel, a musician and sometimes a dancer, who supports the creative process.
