Viu Montjuïc. The Park of Culture celebrates its sixth edition on 3 and 4 October, with more than one hundred activities programmed for all audiences. Throughout the weekend, the cultural venues and spaces across Montjuïc host itineraries, guided tours, dance, theatre, music, poetry, sensory installations, workshops, gastronomy and open days, highlighting Montjuïc as one of the city’s major cultural hubs.
As a cultural venue on Montjuïc, Graner is taking part with its own programme and through a collaboration with Montjuïc Castle, all taking place on Saturday 3 October 2026.
- At Graner, we present Sortida d’emergència, by ERRO Grupo, a performative itinerary through the La Marina de Port neighbourhood, starting at Graner at 12 pm.
- At Montjuïc Castle, we present an afternoon of dance featuring four short pieces exploring different choreographic languages: Quema by Jacob Gómez (5.30 pm), El baile de la zurda by La Cerda (6 pm), Manifesto by Àngel Duran (6.30 pm), and Fandango Reloaded (7.15 pm) by Inka Romaní.
At 12 pm at Graner:
- Sortida d’emergència: A collection of stories, memories and reflections on the neighbourhood’s spaces, gestures and support networks that help us navigate moments of uncertainty.
From 5.30 pm to 8 pm at Montjuïc Castle:
- Quema by Jacob Gómez: An intimate journey through purgatory, where two elderly souls come together to revisit the course of their lives. Are they two separate entities, or two facets of the same person?
- El baile de la zurda by LaCerda: A tribute to dance, to the desire to live through dancing despite everything, and to the creators’ Latin American roots, the source of their passion for dance.
- Manifesto: A quintet of bodies summons the spirit of subcultures, transforming public space into a stage for collective fervour.
- Fandango Reloaded: An exploration of traditional dances as contemporary urban dances, as a means of fostering collectivity and building community.
