Bárbara Pinto

Bárbara Pinto is a coreographer, she lives and works in Chile. She has directed and created the works: Un solo, Sin título I, El Salón, El Salón Documental, Toros, Sin título II and Clénida Nie (sin título II). These have been shown in prominent national and international festivals. Her work has been characterized by a strong visual aesthetic, extending the scenic limits of the dance to include other media as photography and video. Always with an attention and intention for the body in movement or stillness.

Latest project in residence

Sín Título I i II (2015) consists of a series of photographs and the projection of a video. Both works, produced in different years, reflect a thematic line developed by the artist and, at the same time, an interest in expanding and experimenting with other media or formats beyond the production of dance works for the stage. Always with an attention to and an intention focused on the body in movement or stillness.
