Lipi Hernández
Lipi Hernández is a dancer, researcher, choreographer, and body agitator. In 1995, she founded the contemporary dance company Malqueridas, which she later transformed in 2007 into a platform for research and support for creation around the body and movement. Since then, her career has intertwined research, support for artists, choreography, pedagogical projects, and mentoring for various national artists focused on the living arts and dance. In parallel, she developed the DATA practice as an artist, centered on the study and practice of movement.
Alongside her artistic practice, she has directed and collaborated on different public projects and structures. She is a founding member and director of La Caldera Centre de Creació en Arts Escèniques in Barcelona. Between 2018 and 2024, she held the positions of Head of Choreography, Head of Dance Pedagogy, Deputy Director, and Director of the Higher Conservatory of Dance at the Institut del Teatre, as well as Director of the Osona Territorial Centre (Vic) of the Institut del Teatre.
