Paloma Muñoz

Paloma Muñoz is a choreographer and teacher based in Barcelona, where she directs the SIBERIA / Paloma Muñoz project. Her work combines intense physicality with highly sensory dramaturgies, using touch, sound, and rhythm as compositional materials. She moves between instinct and composition, between the wild and the crafted, seeking a raw, vulnerable, and living physicality in which the body can open up senses, images, or states that are difficult to name. In addition to her creations with SIBERIA, she has worked with international companies such as Tanz Mainz, Tanz Bielefeld, Ballet Bern, and the National Dance Company Malta. Since 2024, she has been an artist in residence at Mercat de les Flors.

Latest project in residence

During 2026–27, she is developing a new research project about which very little is yet known: “I have not yet entered the studio and I am trying to make space to truly listen to the body, time, and intuition. I am very eager to keep moving closer to my desires and to continue developing my language from a more open, more alive, and less explained place.” This process will be the starting point for a new production within the DRIFT programme, together with Graner and Mercat de les Flors.
