LABORATORY: BODY AND TERRITORY – call for artists

Training and Creation in Circus and Movement (from March 30 to April 11, 2020)

ARTIST APPLICATION (Deadline for admission of applications: 29 February 2020)

Coinciding with the Cicle Circ d’Ara Mateix, Mercat de les Flors, Graner and La Central del Circ, we decided to partner and offer together a LAB to deepen the common points between dance and circus, to break formal and conceptual barriers, as well as to investigate the movement as a form of expression and the dramaturgy of collective gesture and writing.

In this edition of the Cicle Circ d’Ara Mateix at Mercat de les Flors, a call is open to select 10 professional circus and movement artists (5 and 5 in each discipline) to take part in a creative and training lab that will explore the notions of Body and Territory with Marta Galán performing artistic and educational accompaniment, Sergi Parés offering a seminar linked to the circus, Aina Alegre with a dance seminar and Marc Dalmau doing academic accompaniment.
