Dancer, rooted in flamenco, and lover of new dramaturgies. I develop my narratives within the framework of Live Arts. I am passionate about encountering other ways of inhabiting and telling stories; their physicality, the concept. Flamenco as a tool for expression and transgression. A fresh playground.
Project in residence:
Lâs Alegrías is a festive flamenco palo and one of the oldest genres. It belongs to the family of cantiñas, traditional songs from the province of Cádiz. In Lâs Alegrías, we embody this palo and its idiosyncrasy. We will alter its traditional rhythmic and choreographic structure, as well as the sound of the cante for tablao, through random actions. Meticulous research. A walk through tradition and interruption where, without seeking anything specific, irreverent gesturality, humor, and randomness appear.
