Alba Rihe
Alba Rihe has a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts and she’s graduated from the Independent Studies Program (PEI) at MACBA, she is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Cultural Management. She has developed various work methodologies that share a common thread: performance and the fusion of different artistic tools to convey a message that utilizes voice, absurdity, and body expression as key elements. She defines herself as a “dyslexic clown to survive a fractured reality.” Solo, she has performed the acts TODO FICCIÓN, Lívid la Vida Loca, Espectáculo espectacular, and GATZARA. In collaboration, she has deployed several projects, such as the musical formations Las Bistecs and Venecia Flúor, and the live arts show COBALTO (2018) with Laila Tafur.
In the educational field, she directed and coordinated Habitació 1418, the action space for young creatives shared by the CCCB and MACBA. Other educational projects include: Jornadas JARL, performative visits to the MACBA collection, Art com a resposta (Art as a response), Dibuixa copia distribueix (Draw copy distribute), and C.I.R.C.A., a somatic board game in collaboration with Graner and high school students. Meanwhile, she has written her first poetry book, Buguenvíl·lia. She has been the master of ceremonies at events like Orgulosa, La Mercè, Cabaret Clown, and Memefest (CCCB). She has just released her second album, Libre Albedrío, with Venecia Flúor, and is opening an artistic residency space in Baix Camp.
