Alessandro Sciarroni is an Italian performing artist with an extensive background in visual art and theater. His works are featured in dance and theater festivals, museums, art galleries, and in unconventional spaces. Sciarroni’s performances try to uncover obsessions, fears, and fragilities through the repetition of a practice at the limits of physical endurance. He collaborates with a wide range of artists and his works have been performed in 21 European countries, Canada, Brazil, Uruguay, and the United Arab Emirates, at venues including the Biennale de la Dance in Lyon, Kunstenfestivaldesarts in Brussels, Impulstanz Festival in Vienna, the Venice Biennale, the Festival Séquence Danse at 104 in Paris, Juli Dans Festival in Amsterdam, the Centre Pompidou, and the MAXXI Museum in Rome.
