Ana Maíra and Khadim
Ana Maíra Favacho is a dance and circus artist, pedagogue, researcher and cultural producer. Trained at the Center des Arts du Cirque – Le Lido, in France (2016) and CEFAC – Circus Arts Training Center (2012). Degree in Communication and Performing Arts – Dance and Circus, at the Federal University Jean Jaurès – also in France. Passionate about studying the body and its expressions, she began her career through dance, still young. From then on, he explored the performing arts through different
forms of language, highlighting dances and popular expressions of African origin, with notable references in their creative and pedagogical process, as well as the studies of
Stanley Keleman on somatic experience. From this range of research was born the original project “Coração de terra”, carried out with the support of IBERESCENA, FUNARTE and the Ministry of Culture (2017). Project that takes her for the first time to the École des Sables (Senegal) – founded by Germaine Acogny, consecrated mother of contemporary African dance culture, one of the great references in her studies and research. In Brazil, he collaborated with Brazilian companies such as Circo Mínimo, Cia. Airlines, Co. Solas de Vento, Circo Roda Brasil – Stapafúrdyo Show (2007-2008), Acrobático Fratelli, among others. And participated in several festivals in Brazil and Europe. She has been acting as a facilitator of research and creation processes in dance and circus since 2008. She is co-founder and choreographer of the Cia. Dáll Déllu, Brazil-Senegal connection, with which he directed – LIILA (2021) – Amálgama (2020) and PARSYIAM (2018).
Senegalese Khadim Ndiaye, resident in Brazil. Dance artist, choreographer and pedagogue. Passionate about the body’s creative impulses. Trained in contemporary African dance and neoclassical at the Alvin Ailey dance academy – Senegal 2015. He began his art career through theatre. In 2006 he joined the great Cia Ballet Silaba, with whom he develops traditional Guinean dances and with whom he participates in various creations and festivals. He had classical training with Ballet André Lorenzetti, in Senegal, and was a member of La Linguère National Ballet in 2010. Since 2012 he has been a member of Cia SeneAfrica, director of Ibrahima Sarr. In 2014, she participated in the first training at the École des Sables, by the renowned dancer, choreographer and pedagogue Germaine Acogny. Birthplace of African contemporary dance in Senegal, the École des Sables continues to this day as its home for choreographic research and development. He has participated in the creation of the show La cité with Nganga Geye (2013-2014) – Senegal, Thiaroye 44 de Hardo Ka (2014) – Senegal, Dance Numerique (2017) – Senegal Choreographer of the intervention Dakar Ville Architecture (2018) – Senegal. He is co-founder and choreographer of Cia Dáll Déllu, connection Brazil – Senegal: Creative artist in the shows LIILA (2021), Amálgama (2020) and PARSYIAM (2018). From 2017 he collaborates with Cia’s in Europe – Ibeu-lo (2019).
