Clémentine Télesfort and Lisard Tranis

Clémentine Télesfort (France) and Lisard Tranis (Catalonia), are interpreters, and creators of contemporary dance based in Barcelona. Since 2019, they have been collaborating artistically in research and scenic creation focused on movement and bodily expression as a tool for communication. Their meeting point lies in the interest of exploring bodily states that lead to the embodiment of images, characters, and stories. They share a common imaginary that arises from the curiosity to explore attention as a dramaturgical instrument, an ode to presence, which leads them to create works where everyday life gives way to the poetics of the subconscious.

Latest project in residence

La Mecànica de l’Infortuni (2023), the aim is to bring to the stage the expressiveness that arises from body language and the physical reflexes that come into play when facing adverse circumstances. It seeks to reveal human resilience by exposing the patterns that form in the body when confronted with a challenge. It is a reflection on the creative capacity of the imagination, where irony and humor serve as an outlet. It explores how to unveil the grotesque aspects of being while celebrating the beauty found in mistakes and clumsy falls, where the genuineness of gesture emerges. It aims to highlight a sense of discomfort that leads to movement and the exploration of creative resources.
