EIA Circus Company founded in 2009 from the merger of two groups: Armando Rabanera, Fabrizio Giannini and Cristiano Della Monica (Cirque Vague, Circo de la Sombra and Le Grand Osim Orchestra), and Francesca Lissia and Celso Pereira (Celso i Frana). After 5 years of experience as a collective (CAPAS, their first creation, has toured across Europe, performing more than 150 shows in 12 countries), the time came to experiment with new formats, expanding the original formations and inviting other artists to take part in two new creations: Espera, a street circus performance, and inTarsi, an indoor show. The circus company “eia” received the City of Barcelona Award 2011 in the Circus category “for the show CAPAS, for the risk taken in circus research and innovation”. InTarsi received the Special Jury Prize at the 7th edition of the Zirkolika Awards of Catalonia (2016).
