ERRO Grupo

ERRO Grupo was founded in 2001 in Florianópolis, Brazil, with the aim of experimenting with art as an intervention in people’s everyday lives. Since 2018, we have been divided between members based in Florianópolis and others living in Barcelona, using urban spaces as a field of action and connection among people walking through the streets in search of other ways of living and of artistic integration with the city. Our trajectory and work are dedicated to the research and creation of theatre, body arts, visual arts, and performance, exploring the merging of artistic languages and the dissolution of art through its interference in the daily flows of the city, the urban landscape, and the media, by creating possible situations. This time, it is Pedro Bennaton and Luana Raiter who are developing the project with Graner.

Emergency Exit is a mediation project by ERRO Grupo (Pedro Bennaton and Luana Raiter) focused on discovering and dissecting the emergency exits—both spatially and metaphorically through bodies and movement—that shape the neighborhood of La Marina. In other words, whether these exits truly exist, and how and what they are, beyond being architectural measures for disaster or fire prevention. Defining, together with the community, what the emergency exits of the neighborhood are—and whether our bodies themselves can be such exits—is the core of this mediation and field research proposal, carried out directly in the streets and in the space of El Graner, with the people who inhabit and pass through these exits.
