Residency project

This project is the first solo proposal by dancer and creator Julia Laport. After 5 years as co-director of the company Elahood, Julia begins her first individual project with the support and guidance of Brazilian psychoanalyst and philosopher Igor Teo. This research explores the limits and the limitless in the body. It seeks to push the body to the limit. To push oneself to the limit of the body. In the outermost layer preceding the other. Bringing the soul to the surface of the face, fingers, and skin. Bringing the body to the limit that separates it from what is not body, thus exploring what lies beyond the limit. This infinite line that separates here from there, the profound from the light. Seeking what lies deeper, further, behind, on another plane, in other eyes, at the back of the throat. Illusion is what lies beyond the limit.
