Manuel Rodríguez

I am Manuel Rodríguez, I inhabit the space between dance, performance, and the visual arts. For me, the body and the voice are poetic instruments, untamable archives, surfaces where memory and imagination collide and reinvent themselves. My practice is an insistence on the question: what does it mean to be human when the human overflows? I do not seek answers, but rather experiences that open cracks and expose fragility as a force. The political and the poetic intertwine in the sensible, in the unstable, in what has not yet been named.

Otra cosa que no es una conferencia  (Another Thing That Is Not a Lecture) is a collective stage piece that interrogates the learned ways of communicating and coexisting. Inspired by institutional and corporate landscapes, the work dismantles codes of authority and consensus, opening a space of friction, ambiguity, and excess. Body, voice, and gesture do not explain: they strain and unsettle. The performers inhabit the edge where language cracks and its meaning drifts. At that threshold, forms of coexistence emerge that do not seek harmony but dissonant resonance, where the human no longer dictates the measure of the real. The stage becomes an act of resistance: where discourse fails, opacity, the ungraspable, the living, persist—as a politics of trembling.
