My first name is Mauri and I am a creator and contemporary dance performer, although my initial approaches to creation are interested in intertwining different fields of stage creation (especially the treatment of light on stage in relation to the body). I center my creative discourse around the body and movement. I am Valencian, although in recent years I have been developing my work between Valencia and Madrid.
Residency project
Cross-context residence between Dansa València and Graner. During his residency, the artist Mauricio Pérez Fayos participates in stage laboratories, meets with different artistic and management teams from various city venues, and gets to know the Graner project in depth. Contextual residencies allow the artist to map out the city’s creative fabric and establish connections. Additionally, the artist has a workroom available, in this case to revisit his piece ‘Esto iba a ser La Oportunidad y ha terminado siendo mi primera despedida,’ which premiered last October 2023.
