Jorge Gallardo. Is a creator in performing arts with a tendency to rove (Andalucia, Catalonia, Poland). For the past two years he has been working on solo pieces as catalyst for the process and dramaturge, primarily with narrative composition and as the outside eye for the subtle work of the performer. He holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from Malaga University and in Theatre Direction from the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona, as well as having written a doctoral thesis at the Alcal de Henares University on Practices for the integration of ritual into the capitalist economic system. This project contains the practices realised with Colectivo Arriero, where he acted as creator of research and information exchange contexts.
Natalia Jiménez i Jorge Gallardo
Natalia Jiménez. Choreographer, performer, dance maker and teacher, living in Barcelona since 2003. In the last years she initiated various creative projects, which have in common the focus on movement investigation in contrast with other artistic disciplines and studies (theatre, visual arts, anthropology, science…).
As a creator currently Natalia is part of the Group La Bolsa. La Medida del Desorden is a contemporary dance piece constructed as a dialogue between Group La bolsa and the choreographer Thomas hauert. At the moment she is collaborating with the anthropologist Leticia S. Moy, and the dramaturge Jorge Gallardo in a project called “Conjugaciones”. She also collaborates with the maker Iris Heitzinger in the artistic direction of L_ENTES (science-art), produced by the Festival Neo 2012 (Mercat de les flors). She founded, together with Xus Picher, Destinatarias&cia, an itinerary project which developed in Spain, Chile and Costa Rica, elaborating a plan of creation and training/education. During three years she was part of the initiatives of the Association Trans-formas (social theatre and theatre of the oppressed): she was teacher and assistant in different collectives with social problematics. She also directed the theatre group Transit- art, made of people with neuromuscular diseases. She began her training in spanish dance and flamenco in Córdoba, and in contemporary dance in the Centro Andaluz de Danza. C.A.D. (Sevilla). She received the prize for best interpreter in the 3rd choreographic contest of Sevilla. As interpreter she worked with: Company Metros (Barcelona), Company Mudances (Barcelona), Balletto di Sardegna, Company Iliacan (Barcelona), Hojarasaca-danza (Valladolid), Ex-nihilo (France), Company Bebeto Cidra (Barcelona), Jeremy Wade (Berlin), Guillermo Weickert (Sevilla), Abraham Hurtado (Murcia), and Vértebro-teatro (Córdoba). As a teacher she gives regular classes of contemporary dance and improvisation to actors, professional and non-professional dancers in Spain, Italy, Chile and Costa Rica.
