Rocío Guzmán
Rocío Guzmán is a singer and performer from Jaén, Andalucía. Rooted since childhood in the atmosphere of flamenco and the traditional Andalusian song by a family that loves music and singing and has an amateur vocation since childhood, she begins to sing in a family context. After studying philosophy and having studied contemporary dance, he began his singing studies in Paris with Panthéâtre (2003) and Roy Hart Center, where he confirmed his vocation as a singer.
Back to Spain and since then he has worked in music in traditional singing, jazz, improvisation, contemporary stage creation with various formations and groups of contemporary dance and music. Since 2008, she has carried out her vocal and stage research work in parallel.
He is currently presenting a collaborative project with the flamenco guitarist José Torres Vicente “Virtue in the air” visiting classical music through modern arrangements.
Parallel is preparing his first album “Sonada” solo in tribute to the Spanish-Andalusian folk song whose presentation will be at the end of 2018.
