Valeria Primost

Valeria Primost: I am a dancer, choreographer, and movement researcher. Since my graduation from AHK in 2005, I have continued my practice of the Alexander Technique and Internal Taoist Kung Fu, becoming a certified Alexander Technique teacher in 2013 and undergoing full-time training for seven months in China in 2017. Throughout my career, my main interest has always been the creative process through movement research, attention, and perceptual processes. My training has nourished this research, allowing me to develop my own approach in the integration of different techniques, which I call “Acción Primitiva” (Primitive Action). I apply this approach both in the creative processes of my stage projects and in educational processes with students of diverse experiences. The research is ongoing and is in the process of being systematized. For the past year, I have been residing in the city of S.C. de Bariloche.

Residency project

Acción Primitiva: A practice that integrates movement research, the Alexander Technique, and Internal Taoist Kung Fu. It is a pre-dance resource that, based on a profound understanding of internal and reflected connections, offers us an organic foundation that goes beyond aesthetics and concepts. Through the exploration of primitive activities, we allow the body to reset the alignment of all our systems, promoting a balance that prioritizes the unity of being in activity, enabling diverse creative and pedagogical processes.
