The curation and mediation by Graner and Mercat de les Flors bring together this 2021-22 school year the choreographer Sònia Gómez and the Institut Escola Turó de Roquetes and Adrián Vega and the Institut Maria Espinalt.
Sonia Gómez (La Sénia, Tarragona) is a dancer, performer, and choreographer. She studied Contemporary Dance and Choreography at the Institut del Teatre (Barcelona) and at P.A.R.T.S in Brussels, Belgium. Since 2004, she has worked on projects that focus on identity construction, as well as the discovery of certain social impostures through art and the impostures of art through the body and performance. She has performed in Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, France, Estonia, Portugal, the United States, Brazil, Mexico, the Netherlands, Colombia, Chile, China, the Czech Republic, and Canada. 2007 FAD SEBASTIÁN GASCH AWARD. 2010 AWARD FOR INNOVATIVE SHOW ON TOUR. The Institut Escola Turó de Roquetes
Turó de Roquetes was created in 2011, resulting from the integration of two primary schools in the Roquetes neighborhood (Nou Barris): Escola Gaudí and Escola Sant Antoni Maria Claret. The Turó de Roquetes links its participation in EN RESiDENCIA with the aim of placing performing arts as the articulating axis of the school’s educational project.
With the 1st ESO students from Institut Escola Turó de Roquetes David Ama ya Díaz, Noemí Amaya Fernández, Emerson Daniel Bolaños Cuellar, Eric Carabalo Cabrera, Saba Fátima, Anthony Daniel Flores Ramos, Sheila Gallego Tirador, Encarna Gímez, Iker Martínez Cañete, Daniel Martínez Robles, Erika Martínez Robles, Heybi Matamoros Murillo, Miguel Ángel Moreno García, Faustino Moreno Moreno, Abel Saakyan Sola, Jorge David Velásquez Ruiz, and Hannah Villatoro Oliva and teachers Gemma Arcas Miro and Cristina Bielsa Landin.
EN RESiDENCIA is a program of the Barcelona Institute of Culture and the Barcelona Education Consortium, devised in cooperation with the Association A Bao A Qu.
