The educational program of Graner is structured around weekly artistic practice in the classroom with an artist, but it also expands with other experiences that broaden the creative universe we offer to students and open new questions and ways of collectively engaging with dance and live arts.
Thus, during the 24-25 school year, students from the two primary schools and the two secondary schools in the neighborhood with whom we work will visit the Mercat de les Flors several times and will also pass through Graner, where they will take part in some movement sessions and also attend as an audience for two proposals we have programmed, which we believe are interesting for each educational cycle. It is also a way to create contexts where different schools meet and can have recognition and dialogue in another space, through artistic practice.
- Subjecte, verb i predicat by CONDEGALÍ B.L. (for primary school students from Enric Granados and Bàrkeno schools) – Wednesday, March 5th, 2025 at Graner
- Inaudit by Adrián Vega and Adriano Galante (for secondary school students from Montjuïc and Domènech i Montaner institutes) – Tuesday, March 25th, 2025 at Graner.
How can we use the body for learning to read and write? Subjecte, verb i predicat explores the relationship between syntax and choreography. We will learn to name the parts of a sentence, but, above all, to observe and understand what the structures of language cause in our bodies. A participatory proposal that will lead us to embody the words in the form of actions that will become dance.
CondeGalí B.L. is a loving initiative for artistic expansion through which Aimar Pérez Galí and Jaime Conde-Salazar have been launching various research and artistic creation projects for over 10 years, working collectively with other artists and educators.
Inaudit brings dancer and creator Adrián Vega together with musician and performer Adriano Galante in a search for the inaudible sound memory of our heritage. A performative investigation starting from the network of frequencies and radiations imperceptible to the human ear and using this to trace a new, living memory of the sounds that permeate and coexist with us in our daily lives. In its adaptation for the stage, the piece unfolds by juxtaposing noise and silence through the intervention of body, sound, movement and voice using concepts such as absence, waiting and stillness.
Adrián Vega is a choreographer and graduate of Barcelona’s Institut del Teatre. He describes himself as a post-hip hop artist and stands out for his creative focus on the hybridisation of dance styles, the exploration of various movement languages and his skill in floor work. He investigates the field of body sonority, especially in relation to flamenco and music.
Adriano Galante is an artist who works from the confluence of collective creation, multidisciplinary interpretation, critical thinking and artistic curatorship. His presence extends across disciplines such as dance, music, poetry and living arts. His projects include Seward, Mediante, Demoledora and Entrar a vivir.
