House of the Seas explores the reconfiguration of self-image and was developed at SEAT and Bàrkeno primary schools.
“A sensitive journey through the body and the reconfiguration of our image to discover the potential of who we are. Together, we will practice every possible and imaginable physicality. We will build a safe framework where each participant can engage freely with their own image. Through the practice of dance and performance, we will think together about what kind of body we want to construct and how we can do so collectively. I draw from the concept of ‘HOUSE’ in Drag culture, understood as a community, artistic, and dissident space that supports itself and shares resources selflessly.”
Graner’s educational programme is part of Caixa d’Eines, a project promoted by Barcelona’s Pla de Barris, which brings artistic practices into school curricula to help reduce inequalities between neighbourhoods. Graner implements its Caixa d’Eines educational programme in primary and secondary schools in the Marina de Port neighbourhood.
