In an Unknown Yes
“I visualize the unknown yes within a liminal space, a space where everything is possible. I understand this yes as a space of affirmation sought directly. A yes that appears without knowing it, where you find it, and for this reason, it invites you to enjoy it. The unknown yes is a space of play, of possibility, of breaking the norms within the classroom, of shouting, of questioning, of becoming, and also of listening and respecting. The yes is knowing ourselves, individually and collectively, embracing uncertainty with all that it entails.
The music classroom serves as the driving force of the project. As a dancer, music has accompanied me, being the cause of movement. I wonder what would happen if it were the body that generated the musical space within the classroom, thus allowing the shift of roles we associate with our daily lives. Let this be the first excuse to transform hierarchies in the classroom, energizing education from horizontality, centralizing the student as a creative driving agent, and encouraging students and their families to make education motivational. How beautiful it would be if children knew they are also teachers of adults in their daily lives.
I wish for the action not to be exclusively a performative act but a living act full of everydayness.”
