Meetings Between Teaching Teams and Artists – 2019–2020 Academic Year

As part of the educational program, Arte Factum facilitated three mediated sessions between the involved teachers and participating artists. These gatherings served as spaces for mutual recognition and for sharing methodological tools and embodied practices. Additional sessions were held with the teaching staff of several schools, where the concept of the score was explored as a transversal writing system across all artistic disciplines. These sessions also introduced body-based translation tools for use in the classroom.

The participating educators belonged to the staff of the following institutions:

  • Nursery schools: Niu d’Infants, Collserola, El Cotxet, Espai Familiar La Casa dels Colors
  • Primary schools: Seat, Bàrkeno, Enric Granados, and Ramon Casas
  • Secondary school: Institut Montjuïc

The artists involved were Alba Rihe and Laila Tafur, Big Bouncers, and Iniciativa Sexual Femenina. The sessions between teachers and artists were held at Graner, while the sessions with school staff took place within the schools themselv
