MIC Chile, the Market of Cultural and Creative Industries of Chile, is a meeting space for various prominent agents from the cultural and creative industries, both Chilean and international. MIC 2025 will take place from April 9 to 12 at the Gabriela Mistral Cultural Center (GAM) and aims to strengthen cultural ties by promoting artistic and cultural exchange between the countries of the Ibero-American region and sector agents.
The MIC includes business rounds, artistic showcases, workshops, conferences, and exhibitions, creating a key space to promote artistic and cultural circulation, and to highlight the impact of the sector on the sustainable economic development of Chile. It is designed with an interdisciplinary and intersectoral approach, and its program covers sectors such as audiovisual, architecture, performing arts, books and reading, visual arts, crafts, music, and design.
In this framework, Graner will hold a workshop on Friday, April 11 at 15:30, within the MIC program, together with Nau Ivanow and La Parisina, on artistic residencies.
The workshop is titled “Residencies as Method and Expansion” and explores the residency model as a method to enrich artistic training and practice, creating key connections that strengthen its value chain and expand opportunities for collaboration and circulation of works. The workshop will feature the participation of David Marín (Nau Ivanow), Ignacio Tamagno (La Parisina), and Sonia Fernández (El Graner).
