Graner participates in the professional program of the Biennale de Danse du Val-de-Marne 2025,which takes place from March 12 to April 11, 2025, in various cities across the French department. The event is organized and curated by La Briqueterie CDCN. This 23rd edition of the Biennale features a Catalan focus in its programming, including professional meetings with a roundtable discussion on inclusion and community work, featuring Àngels Margarit, director of Mercat de les Flors, and Bàrbara Raubert, a journalist specializing in dance and a professor of Art History and Choreographic Culture at the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona. Additionally, a networking space and a schedule of meetings have been organized for Catalan professionals. The focus also includes two workshops led by choreographers Guillem Mont de Palol and Oulouy. During the Biennale, the new CataLANDance international dance platform, set to take place from November 26 to 29 in Terrassa, will also be introduced.
Prior to the start of the professional focus, on Tuesday, March 18, visits were made to various facilities to explore their activities and share experiences. Graner has a long-standing collaboration with La Briqueterie, particularly through the cross-residency program (which, since 2021, has connected artists such as Núria Guiu, Lautaro Reyes, Joaquín Collado, and Soren Evinson with the French creation center), as well as through management residencies and an ongoing open dialogue on venue models and knowledge transmission related to artistic support.
Catalan Arts has accompanied a delegation of representatives from dance institutions, creation and performance centers, and festivals, including La Caldera, Graner, Africa Moment, Danseu Festival, Festival Grec, CataLANDance, and Mercat de les Flors, as well as dancers and choreographers featured in the Biennale. The Catalan artistic program, curated by La Briqueterie, includes Aina Alegre, Guillem Mont de Palol, Pol Jiménez, and Oulouy.
