On Wednesday, November 16, 2022, Graner hosted the meeting of the Fàbriques de Creació network in a session centered around the concept of accompaniment. This gathering was one of several ongoing work sessions among the facilities in the network, as part of an initiative by the Barcelona City Council Program, facilitated by La Sullivan.
After an introduction on the history of the building and the neighborhood, we took a tour of the space that allowed us to present the Graner project to the rest of the participants through the lens of accompaniment. Later, Carolina Campos, an artist-in-residence at Graner through a public call in the research category, led a practice connected to her project on accompaniment (Buraco) and launched a collective reflection on the questions: how can I accompany, and how can I be accompanied, within the framework of a creation factory.
It was a deeply enriching session that added to others being developed, which have focused or will focus on concepts such as archive, accessibility, and mediation.
