Throughout 2024, Graner has collaborated on two of the nine measures that the II Dance Promotion Plan aims to implement by 2026 to enhance the professionalization of the sector.
- Work sessions of the National Choreographic Nodes, an initiative of the new Dance Promotion Plan. These nodes aim to become strategic centers distributed across the Catalan territory, functioning as spaces to promote the creation and dissemination of Catalan dance. They will offer artistic residencies with production opportunities and, at the same time, will develop their own projects rooted in each local area.
- We are also participating in the Mentoring Program, designed to support professionals seeking to develop projects in the field of dance production. This program provides personalized guidance to boost participants’ projects, offering specific tools and strategies to improve production skills, tailored to the needs and development level of each proposal. In 2024, Graner has mentored choreographer Silvia Batet as part of the mentoring initiatives under the II Dance Promotion Plan, following a selection process through a public call.
At Graner, we interconnected Silvia Batet’s residency-mentoring with the cross-residencies organized with Dansa València and Tenerife LAV to make the experience even more enriching. The group of three creators participated jointly in various activities, such as visiting different city venues and holding meetings with their directors.
