Africa Moment is a project for the cultural diversification of the performing arts, with a non-Eurocentric and gender perspective, through the promotion in our context of African artists and their diaspora in Latin America, Europe, and Spain. Founded in 2016 by the Cameroonian artist and bio-architect Àngel Fulla.
Since 2017, Africa Moment has organized five editions of the international performing arts meeting, the largest artistic event of contemporary Africa in Spain and a reference at the European level. The other pillar of the project is the training program Creation | Reflection | Body, the first professional training in live arts with a non-Eurocentric perspective in the entire country, promoting research and experimentation in creative practices and techniques, and aiming to generate spaces for meeting and creative dialogue among all participants, offering a unique and cutting-edge training proposal.
Graner has collaborated with Africa Moment since 2019, hosting part of the international performing arts meeting, artist residencies linked to the program, and being the full venue for the training program.
