Africa Moment is a project aimed at the cultural diversification of performing arts, with a non-Eurocentric and gender perspective, by promoting African artists and their diaspora in Latin America, Europe, and Spain in our context. Founded in 2016 by Cameroonian artist and bioarchitect Àngel Fulla.
Since 2017, Africa Moment has organized five editions of the international performing arts encounter, the largest artistic gathering of contemporary Africa in Spain and a reference at the European level. The other aspect of the project is the training program “Creation | Reflection | Body,” the first professional training in performing arts with a non-Eurocentric view in the entire state, promoting research and experimentation in creative practices and techniques, and aiming to generate spaces for meeting and creative dialogue among all participants, providing a unique and cutting-edge training proposal.
Graner has collaborated with Africa Moment since 2019, hosting part of the international performing arts encounter, accommodating creators associated with the same program or training line, and serving as the venue for the entire training program.
