Diving was born in 2024 with the desire to create a space that directly links artistic research with theoretical and academic inquiry, with the aim of reflecting on the poetics of dance and live arts, as well as on current choreographic languages. For its first edition, we had the complicity of Natalia Fernandes, a 2024 resident at Graner in the practical methodologies modality, and Marta Azparren, author of the book Cine ciego, one of the key references in Natalia’s practice.
Thus, 2024 Diving edition, began with edition #1 as a starting point and guiding light for what we had envisioned in developing a thought program at Graner. It opened up questions and reflections around the choreographic act, the gaze, and the body—questions that continue to accompany us.
