In 2021, for the first time, Graner initiated a collaboration with the Ethnological Museum and Museum of World Cultures of Barcelona within the framework of the ICUB’s Creation and Museums program. They did so with the proposal ARTIFICIALIA! EXOTICA! MIRABILIA! Power and counterculture in the creation of identity frameworks.
A curatorial and scenic project that relates body practices and transformism to the heritage of the Ethnological Museum and Museum of World Cultures to approach social anthropology to the phenomenon of transformism and gender construction. A site-specific performance around the social constructions of identity frameworks and body politics, with the aim of revisiting the legacy of historical societies from a contemporary perspective.
A project by Sara Manubens (artist in residence at Graner) in collaboration with Mama Lynch (Drag Queen, activist, and performer), Norma Mor (Drag Queen, activist, and performer), Luciana Cheregati (choreographer and thinker), Júlia Barbany (actress and artist), and Laura Ramírez (dancer and teacher around body practices).
