As part of the Creation and Museums 2025 city program, the Museu Picasso Barcelona and Graner are launching their first joint project to create a shared workspace that reflects the concerns and goals of both institutions regarding contemporary artistic creation and the cultural heritage of the city of Barcelona.
PICASSa by Lorena Nogal
Inspired by Picasso’s visual ruptures, PICASSa explores detachment, the trace of the ephemeral, and the search for new forms of expression through an exercise in decontextualization and transformation of the museum space. Closely linked to Cubism, the piece invites us to rethink reality from multiple perspectives, establishing new relationships between body, imagination, and viewer in a creative journey beyond the boundaries of conventional theatre.
The Picasso Museum of Barcelona becomes the channel that connects the various scenes of a visual encyclopedia that acts as a guide, leading both the artist and the audience through different creative landscapes and offering a point of departure for a journey of self-exploration.
