GRANJAS HUMANAS (HUMAN FARMS) is a project that combines dance, expanded performance, and new technologies. The work departs from two spaces of high production where bodies are isolated and subjected to constant labor: on the one hand, industrial milking farms, and on the other, the so-called “influencer farms,” digital productivity spaces in which—mostly women—generate images, data, and desire as their only form of value
In this open rehearsal, the team will show how the choreography is constructed from scores, body sculptures, and imaginaries that enclose, constrain, and push the body to its limits. Through this piece, Capitán investigates the cracks and possible escape routes that allow us to question and break these systems of confinement present in our contemporary society.
A choreography of confinement that explores mechanisms of illusory escape from within the very system of recruitment.
